Britain can count on us, says Bush

US President George W Bush today assured Londoners, struck by a second wave of public transport terror attacks in two weeks, that they can count on the steadfast support of the US.

“The people of Great Britain must understand how strongly America stands with them during these trying times,” Bush said in Atlanta during a speech. His audience responded with prolonged applause and a standing ovation.
