25,000 Iraqi civilians have died since invasion - report
A new report claims that nearly 25,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed in the two years since the US invasion of the country.
More than a third of those were deaths caused by Allied forces.
Professor John Sloboda of Keele University, who led the researchers, said it was the first attempt to quantify the fatalities.
Mr Sloboda said: "What's extraordinary is that no one is really counting.
"Our report is the first attempt to pull together a detailed picture."
