Police search houses in relation to London bombs

Anti-terror police are searching five residential premises in West Yorkshire in connection with the London bombings, Scotland Yard said today.

Metropolitan Police officers supported by officers from West Yorkshire Police searched four premises this morning as part of an “intelligence-led operation”.

They are currently at a fifth address.

No arrests have been made so far, police said.

A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "This morning in a pre-planned intelligence-led operation, Metropolitan Police officers supported by West Yorkshire Police officers carried out search warrants issued under the Terrorism Act at four residential premises in West Yorkshire and are currently at a fifth address.

“No arrests have been made and the searches are continuing.”

She said the searches are related to the terror attacks in London.
