Plea deal reached in Letterman kidnap case

Prosecutors reached a plea deal with the man accused of plotting to abduct the young son of television talk show host David Letterman, allowing him to plead guilty to lesser charges and dropping a kidnapping-related charge in return.

Kelly Frank pleaded guilty in state District Court to felony theft, misdemeanour obstruction and possessing illegally killed wildlife, a felony.
