Blair vows to defeat terrorists

British Prime Minister Tony Blair vowed today that Britain will defeat the terrorists who inflicted the “murderous carnage” of last Thursday’s bomb attacks on London.

In a statement to the House of Commons on the atrocity, Mr Blair said it was likely that Islamist extremists were behind the attacks.
