Police check buses in West Midlands

West Midlands Police said they were carrying out checks on buses across the region this afternoon.

The force said high profile patrols were in progress at “prime public locations” as part of emergency plans triggered by the high state of alert put in place by the Chief Constable as a precautionary measure earlier today.
