Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt was calling together an emergency response group meeting today to assess security measures in Brussels, which houses the European Union and Nato, in wake of the explosions in London.

Officials said the meeting, to be held later this afternoon, would gather top officials from Belgian police and medical services to see if added measures were needed on the city’s metro and rail systems or whether added security was needed in the EU quarter.
