Builders killed as landslide collapses tunnel
Two labourers were killed and up to 12 others were believed to be trapped today after a tunnel they were building to bring water to an Indian village collapsed in a landslide triggered by heavy rain, an official said.
Two bodies have been recovered so far, said Nandkumar Jantre, a district administrator near the village of Dolkamb, 90 miles north of Bombay. Jantre said police feared 12 workers may be trapped inside the tunnel, which was to bring water to Dolkamb.
