A six-party consortium today chose France as the site for an experimental nuclear fusion reactor, said a spokeswoman for the European Union.

Antonia Mochan, spokeswoman for the European Commission’s science and research committee, said the decision had been made at a closed-door meeting of the consortium in Moscow.
