China's Hu to attend G8 summit

President Hu Jintao will attend the summit of leaders of the Group of Eight major economies in Scotland in July, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said today.

Hu also will visit Russia and meet with President Vladimir Putin en route to the July 6 to 8 meeting in Scotland, said ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao.
