Nancy Reagan in London hotel fall

Nancy Reagan, the wife of former US President Ronald Reagan, was taken to hospital after suffering a fall at a London hotel early this morning, a spokeswoman said.

The octogenarian former First Lady was taken to a nearby hospital after falling in her room at the Ritz in central London.

Spokeswoman Cathy Busch said: “After a full examination she was released and returned to the hotel.

“She will be following her doctor’s advice to limit her activities over the next two weeks until the pain subsides and full mobility returns.”

While in London Mrs Reagan is believed to have had tea with Lady Thatcher and met Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
