Iraq: Suicide bombing kills 11, wounds 12
A suicide car bomber was among 11 people killed in an attack north of Baghdad, Iraqi police and hospital officials said today. At least 12 more were wounded.
The bombing targeted a home late yesterday in a remote village near Balad.
A group of people had gathered at the house, 50 miles north of the Iraqi capital, US military spokesman Major Richard Goldenberg said.
He was citing a report released by Iraqi authorities in Salaheddin province. Further details were not immediately available.
