Girl freed in 'hanged boy' probe

A 12-year-old girl arrested over the attempted murder of a five-year-old boy in the UK has been released by police, it was announced today.

West Yorkshire Police said the girl had been freed after magistrates refused to grant a warrant to extend the time they could keep the child in custody.
