Hundreds of people, some throwing stones, broke into Kyrgyzstan’s Supreme Court in the capital Bishkek today and evicted supporters of five losing parliamentary candidates who had occupied the building for more than a month.

Hundreds of people, some throwing stones, broke into Kyrgyzstan’s Supreme Court in the capital Bishkek today and evicted supporters of five losing parliamentary candidates who had occupied the building for more than a month.

Police and Interior Ministry units rushed to the court, where the crowd had broken windows in its efforts to get into the building. A few bottles with flammable liquid could be seen littering the area.
