Chirac to make last-ditch 'yes' vote push

French president Jacques Chirac is due to make a last-ditch push for a “Yes” vote on the EU Constitution, with a televised prime-time address planned for this evening.

France votes on the Constitution on Sunday, and the latest polls have suggested a slim majority of voters will reject the new treaty – the next big step in a 50-year process of European integration.
