Eta claim Madrid car bomb

A car bomb has exploded in the Spanish capital Madrid after a warning call from the armed Basque separatist group Eta, news reports said.

The blast occurred around 8.30am Irish Time in the San Blas district in the north of the city.

There was no immediate word on casualties.
