Ten killed in Brazil bus plunge
A bus carrying local tourists to a coastal city in northeastern Brazil lost control on a wet road and plunged 60ft into a steep ravine today, killing 10 people and injuring the other 34 people on board, officials said.
Police believed slippery road conditions contributed to the early morning accident near the city of Porto Calvo, some 1,250 miles northwest of Sao Paulo in Alagoas state, federal highway police officer Humberto Guilherme said.
