Police investigating the murder of schoolgirl Mary-Ann Leneghan have arrested an 18-year-old man, they said tonight.

Police investigating the murder of schoolgirl Mary-Ann Leneghan have arrested an 18-year-old man, they said tonight.

The man, was arrested in Battersea, south London, with the assistance of the Metropolitan police and is now being handed over to the custody of Thames Valley police a spokeswoman said.

The latest arrest brings the total number of people questioned in connection with the 16-year-old’s murder to 14.
