Wedding bus crash kills 37 in India

A bus carrying a wedding party fell into a mountain gorge in northern India today, killing 37 people and injuring 20 others, a senior official in the area said.

The vehicle swerved to avoid another bus coming from the opposite direction, and plunged 150 feet into the gorge in the Rupdraprayag district of Uttranchal Pradesh state, said District Magistrate Y D Chaubey.
