Academic to research the human spirit

An academic is set to embark on a year-long period of soul-searching after being given funding to research the human spirit.

Melody Stokes, a research fellow at De Montfort University, in Leicester, has been awarded the £27,250 (€39,909) fellowship to investigate one of the great mysteries of life – how souls work.
