Fourteen bodies found near Baghdad rubbish dump

The bodies of 14 people who had been shot and killed were found in Baghdad today, an Iraqi soldier said.

Some of the victims were blindfolded and had been shot in the head execution style, said Bassim al-Maslokhi, a soldier in Iraq’s National Guard.

The victims, believed to be Iraqis, were found buried in shallow graves near a rubbish dump on the outskirts of northeastern Baghdad, he said.

The victims seem to have been killed recently, al-Maslokhi said.
