EU's Barroso congratulates Blair

European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso congratulated Tony Blair for his re-election today, praising the co-operation between the British government and the EU’s head office.

“On behalf of the European Commission, I have the pleasure to convey my warmest congratulations on the occasion of your re-election as prime minister of the United Kingdom,” Barroso said in a statement.
