Death toll reaches 69 after Bangladesh factory collapse
The death toll from a collapsed Bangladeshi garment factory climbed to 69 today as rescuers recovered nine more bodies from its ruins, a rescue official said.
A boiler blast last Monday brought the nine-story building down on top of nearly 300 workers at Spectrum Garments Factory Ltd. Near Savar, an industrial town 20 miles north-west of the capital, Dhaka.
