Princess Caroline's husband in serious condition
Princess Caroline of Monaco’s husband, the prince of Hanover, was in serious condition in a principality hospital today, a palace official said.
Prince Ernst August was admitted to the Princess Grace of Monaco Hospital on Monday suffering from problems with his pancreas.
The palace official said today the prince’s condition was serious but gave no other information.
Palace spokesman Armand Deus also said he had no information. The prince’s brother, Heinrich, said in Germany that he had no details.
Caroline’s father, Prince Rainier, died on Wednesday aged 81.
The princess, 48, is the eldest of three children of Rainier and Princess Grace, who was killed in a 1982 car accident. Caroline’s brother, 47-year-old Albert, succeeded his father as the principality’s new monarch.
