Accused crime family bosses arrested

Four reputed members of the Genovese organised crime family, including the acting boss, were arrested in New York today and charged with murder conspiracy, extortion and other crimes.

Prosecutors allege that Dominick “Quiet Don” Cirillo, 75, rose to the position of acting boss following the 1997 conviction of boss Vincent “The Chin” Gigante for murder and racketeering conspiracy, and the arrests of two previous acting bosses.
