The US will still bear the burden of reconstruction costs in war-torn Iraq even as some of its coalition partners withdraw their forces, President George Bush said today.

“The fundamental question is: Is it worth it? And the answer is: Absolutely it’s worth it for a free Iraq to emerge,” Bush said at the White House, flanked by visiting Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko.
