At least one dead in Pakistan train bomb blast
A home-made bomb exploded in the toilet of a train at a station in south-western Pakistan today, killing one person and wounding at least five others.
police said two of the victims were in a critical condition after the blast in Mach, a town 20 miles from Quetta, the capital of south-western Baluchistan province.
The blast came a day after a fierce gun battle between troops and renegade tribesmen left eight soldiers dead and 23 others wounded 185 miles from Quetta.
Bomb explosions on rail tracks and attacks against security forces are common in many parts of Baluchistan, where tribesmen have been demanding greater royalties from resources extracted from their territories.
