Stolen Munch artworks recovered - police

Three works of art by Norwegian master Edvard Munch – including a unique watercolour entitled Blue Dress – were recovered today, less than 24-hours after thieves stole them from the walls of a restaurant, police said.

Three works of art by Norwegian master Edvard Munch – including a unique watercolour entitled Blue Dress – were recovered today, less than 24-hours after thieves stole them from the walls of a restaurant, police said.

Iver Stensrud, of the Oslo police, said several arrests had been made, but declined to say how many people or in what condition the stolen watercolour and two lithographs were.
