Bucharest endures record cold
The Romanian capital Bucharest had the coldest night for March ever recorded, when temperatures dipped to -20 C (-4 F) overnight, weather officials said.
Ion Sandu, director of the National Weather Administration said the previous record for the month was -18 C (0F) one March night in 1932.
Sandu forecast mixed wintry and spring-like spells for the rest of the month.
