Human rights committee slams new British anti-terror plans

An influential group of MPs has slammed the British government's plans to introduce new laws allowing suspected terrorists to be held under house arrest.

Britain is planning to introduce the measure after the country's Law Lords ruled that previous laws allowing for the internment of suspected Islamic militants breached European human rights law.
