Police probe German coach crash

A British coach which overturned in southern Germany yesterday, killing a woman, had "balding tyres", according to German police.

Coach hostess Rosie Nolan, 57, died when it crashed in snowy conditions between Kaiserslautern and Mannheim.

Seven other Britons were seriously injured.

The coach was taking 35 people to a skiing holiday in Austria.

Trip organiser Cantabrica Coaches said the vehicle was "state of the art" with an experienced driver and they were "flabbergasted" at police assertions.
