Unidentified individuals took over the Spanish consulate in Switzerland’s capital Bern this morning, police said.

Bern City Police spokeswoman Franziska Frey said officers sealed off part of the upscale Kirchenfeld neighbourhood after they were alerted shortly after 8am (7am Irish time).
