Commuter trains collide in LA

Two commuter trains collided in a a Los Angeles suburb today and casualties were reported after a number of carriages were derailed.

Smoke was seen coming from twisted wreckage at the scene of the crash in Glendale.

There are a number of injuries, but it is as yet unclear whether anyone has been killed, nor how serious the injuries are. Some reports say that one person has died.
