Tsunami hoaxer jailed for six months
A British man who sent hoax e-mails to family and friends of people missing in the tsunami disaster falsely confirming their deaths was jailed today for six months.
Father-of-three Christopher Pierson, 40, from Ruskington, Lincolnshire, sent 35 e-mails to frantic relatives in the early hours of New Year’s Eve claiming to be from the British government.
