Maldives hold post-tsunami elections

The Maldives are to hold elections for their 42 seat parliament tomorrow, three weeks after they were postponed when the tsunami devastated the Indian Ocean islands.

Nearly 150 candidates are contesting the vote, which the exiled opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) claims will be neither free nor fair.
