Russia may sell nuclear bombers to China

Russia’s air force chief said today that Moscow could sell some of its nuclear bombers to China – a deal that would significantly bolster the Chinese nuclear capability.

During a joint Russian-Chinese military exercise set for this year, the Russian air force will engage its Soviet-built Tu-22M3 and Tu-95 strategic bombers to arouse China’s interest in buying them, Gen. Vladimir Mikhailov said.

“We will show them to our neighbour,” Mikhailov said. “They could buy them if they have money.”
