Eight-organ transplant toddler dies

An 18-month-old girl who underwent an eight-organ transplant last year has died in an Italian hospital.

Alessia Di Matteo’s condition was already extremely serious when she was transferred to a hospital in her home town of Genoa from a Florida clinic last month.
