Pakistan and India in talks over Kashmir

Top Foreign Ministry officials from Pakistan and India on today held landmark talks aimed at resolving five decades of enmity over the Himalayan region of Kashmir.

The foreign secretaries of the two South Asian nuclear-armed rivals began two days of meetings yesterday in Islamabad to explore solutions for a wide range of disagreements as part of a peace process that began early this year.
