Tourists die in Malaysian bus plunge

At least two foreign tourists were among five people killed when a bus plunged into a ravine in northern Malaysia today.

Four men and one woman died in the crash while several other people were injured, said police.

The bus was carrying 21 passengers when it plunged into a 66ft deep ravine in northern Perak state.

It was headed for the island resort of Penang, 190 miles north of Kuala Lumpur, on a well used backpacker route.
