Iranian Ayatollah brands Iraq elections 'sham'

Iran’s supreme leader accused Britain and the US today of planning to hold sham elections in Iraq next month in order to keep control of the country’s resources.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also blamed the US and Israel for the recent series of explosions in Iraq that have killed scores of civilians.
