Doctors' watchdog under fire over Shipman

British doctors’ watchdog the General Medical Council faced criticism today as the fifth report of the inquiry into serial killer GP Harold Shipman was published.

The report will make recommendations on how doctors and health professionals are monitored to ensure there is no repeat of Shipman’s 23-year killing spree.
