Ukraine's parliament will vote on electoral reforms

Ukraine’s parliament today determined in a test vote that it had enough support to vote on a package deal of constitutional and electoral changes that is intended to defuse the nation’s festering political crisis.

The vote won support of 398 deputies – 98 more than necessary to consider the package. After a recess, the parliament was due to reconvene to vote officially on the package, which has the potential to shape the nation’s political system for years to come.
