Dozens arrested in Naples mafia sweep
Hundreds of Italian police were arresting dozens of people around Naples today as part of a fight against a bloody mob turf war which has terrified the southern Italian city, police said.
The operation, ordered by the Naples prosecutor, was targeting the Camorra organised crime syndicate, according to remarks by Gen. Vincenzo Giuliani, of the city’s Carabinieri paramilitary police, shown on Italian TV. He gave no other details.
