Yushchencko promises opposition victory soon

Opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko promised his shivering supporters their round-the clock vigil in the Ukrainian capital would bring victory soon, saying he expected a key court ruling today to pave the way for a new vote.

European-brokered talks brought Yushchenko together with the declared official winner of the run-off, prime minister Viktor Yanukovych.
