Sudan postpones expulsion of aid chiefs

Sudan has indefinitely postponed the expulsion of the local directors of two British humanitarian organisations, the British Embassy confirmed today.

The government yesterday gave the directors of Oxfam and Save the Children UK 48 hours to leave Sudan, accusing them of sending “signals of support” to rebels in Darfur and breaking the law.
