Ukraine on brink of revolt after disputed election win

Ukraine was on the edge of revolt tonight after official results showed Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych – who wants closer ties to Moscow – winning Ukraine’s bitterly-fought presidential runoff.

His opponent, who looks to the west, declared fraud and called supporters into the streets after foreign observers said the vote did not meet international standards.
