Ten injured, one dead in bus crash

A bus carrying travellers from Hungary to Germany and the Netherlands slid out of control on a snowy highway and went over an embankment early today, killing one person and injuring 10 others.

The accident occurred at about 3am Irish time near the town of Seewalchen on Austria's main east-west highway. The bus had been carrying 15 people when it lost control and went on to the embankment, police official Franz Bauer said.
