Child dies in rebel mortar attack on US base

Insurgents fired mortars near a US base north of Baghdad, killing one child and injuring three others, the US military said today.

Yesterday’s attack, that took place Tin Balad, 50 miles north of Baghdad, did not injure any American soldiers, the US command said.
