A pan-Arabic satellite channel is broadcasting a tape by al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden on one of its evening newscasts.

The tape deals with the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States, the reasons for them and their consequences. Bin Laden addresses “the Americans” on the tape.
