A spacecraft almost a billion miles from Earth has successfully made the closest encounter ever of Saturn’s mysterious smog-bound moon Titan, scientists revealed today.

The Cassini probe flew just 750 miles from the surface of Titan, sending back hundreds of pictures of its thick atmosphere.
